Knowledge at Nighttime.
Quick entry while lunch is in the oven….
Last night, I was cleaning out the toy and book bins when the kids began poking around. They were worried I was going to throw away something good or donate an item they weren’t ready to let go of yet.
I came across a few workbooks I picked up at Dollar Tree (they have great homeschool items.. for only a buck) and set them aside. Merikalyn picked one up and began flipping through it. I took her cue and stopped what I was doing.
I’m so glad I did! We did just about every page in the book- pointing out colors, sorting out opposites, and picking which item did not belong in a group of items. She did very well. Her knowledge always amazes me. Afterwards, I stepped away to feed the baby and returned to find both Nolyn and Merikalyn working on a few other workbooks.
It was nearly bedtime, but it just goes to show- you can’t always schedule learning!
