I'm nearing the end of my 31st week of pregnancy, and am feeling quite well considering I'm about to topple forward. We're in the midst of completely remodeling the bathroom "head to toe", so to speak, for this birthing event. Just praying that all goes well with our homebirth!

Feeling definite jabs and tickles in the baby belly. This lil booger is definitely active, but in a loving way. It's hard to find clothes that fit at this size. Thankfully, the style these days are long shirt and tanks for layering. I just can't bring myself to waste money on pricey maternity clothing that I'll only wear a few times (and are ill-fitting for someone my size).

Ah, hubby is calling me to "make up my mind" on the final color scheme and tiling for the bathroom. (Ha! He's actually the one who has been wishy-washy!)

At least, that's what the OB who did my ultrasound said.

He asked if we would like to know the gender before placing the wand to my belly. He must have placed it just right, because seconds after touching the wand to my baby bump, he exclaimed, "It's a boy."

Personally, I couldn't tell. I asked, "Are you sure it's not the umbilical cord?" Hubby confirmed it was, indeed a boy, and he could clearly see the scrotum.

The office manager was incredibly nice. We waited forever in the waiting room (surprise, surprise). I was later told that Tuesdays are horrible days to make an appointment because they're always packed. Hmm, wish someone would have told me that sooner! Anyway, when she found out that we did not have insurance and were paying for everything out of pocket, she personally talked to the doctor. She called me back to say that we would only be charged for the ultrasound, not the visit itself. It wasn't an actual prenatal appointment, just a visit for the ultrasound.

I took a pregnancy test, and, although faint, I was pretty sure it was a positive result. Hubby purchased a digital test on his way home, Proving we were indeed actively expecting our third child. We're thrilled!

I had no clue I was actually pregnant on Christmas, but my parents and sibling were just positive we were going to reveal big news. In fact, the whole time they were here, they were waiting for us to prove them right with some unique method of telling them so. I assured them, I was not pregnant, but little did I know, I was.

We just returned from visiting them in Houston (to celebrate my mom's birthday), and I once again promised I was not pregnant. Well, someone made a liar out of me!
